Recommended for those who are intermediate to advanced sewing level.
The focus in this course is to learn Patternmaking skills to be able to draft a pattern to your own design or from designer inspired clothing. The Patternmaking Method, which has been developed by Dragana Edwards, is only available for purchase from Dragana Edwards.
It is expected that most of the sewing would be done in your own time, whilst you focus on learning to develop a pattern in class time. We can discuss sewing techniques and tips and if you wish to improve a certain skill of sewing, you are most welcome to sew in class, but you may not finish the patternmaking course in 12 weeks.
Note: This is mostly suited for petite to medium sizes. (Australian Standard sizing 8 to 16). Larger sizes are challenging and may need more manipulation to reach desired outcome. Please contact Dragana Edwards for further details.
The curriculum looks like this:
- Basic Skirt Block – learn to apply to various designs
- Basic Bodice Block – fitting and apply to various designs
- Fitted Front Block – fitting and apply to various designs
- Pants Block – fitting and apply to various designs
WHERE - Classes are held in a well equipped Sewing Studio, in a picturesque setting at:

WHEN - Dragana runs both evening and day sewing classes
Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday
Evening 7.00pm to 9.00pm
Day: Saturday
10.00am to 12.00pm
WHAT IS PROVIDED - Roll of drafting paper (thereafter you can purchase for $3 per roll) Tracing paper, scissors and other aids.
Terms and Conditions:
- Bookings for patternmaking classes are taken with full payment before commencement
- It is your responsibility to attend each class; I do not offer 'make up' classes, refund or credit. Absentees are charged.
- Sewing classes are for ladies, generally over 21 y.o. (not suited for children or teenagers or men)
- If a class is cancelled by me, a full refund will be given.
- Payment for ongoing classes must be received by the due date (i.e 4th week of the 4 week block - refer Class Timetable)
